The most important works of art from this museum will then be on permanent view in attractive and varied displays. The exhibitions in the two main halls in the north wing will primarily feature unique objects that bear witness to the princely entertainments and displays of power at the Saxon court, many being among the most beautiful and precious testimonies to European Renaissance and Baroque court spectacle. After being out of public view for decades, most of these objects have now been restored and can finally be displayed again and given the attention they deserve.
